After listen to the album for a lots of times, I must say I really like it!

In my ears this is Lenes best album yet. She have some great vocalmelodies on some of the songs. I just love the chours in "Leave my mind".

"Never to know", "Eyes closed", and "Its true" are my fav., along with "Leave my mind", from the album.

After a few anxious days waiting for the postman to deliver it, my copy arrived today!!

I have to say, I find HWIB actually to be one of the 'weaker' songs on this album! I really like the song, although I think other tracks are even better

For me, perhaps I am just so biased with PMG, which is one of the best cds I've ever bought, and one of my most played, so I still hold that as the top Lene Marlin album. But! LIAM is right up there with it now.

I have found AD a little less playable compared to PMG, and I was feeling a bit anxious before I got the latest cd, I kept wondering if I would like it or not, because I had not heard any of the songs (other than HWIB).

Yet all fears have safely been extinguished!!

One of my ultimate Lene Marlin songs is 'Playing my Game', and now, I think to join it will be 'Never to Know' - what a beautiful song  I've played the album a few times through already, and I think that particular song the most so far

Not being a musical journalist (ie licensed to talk absolute nonesense - much of it unrelated to the music being reviewed) all I would say is the album is brilliant - from the first few "da, da, da's" of "Lucky day", right through to the end of "Wish I could" its all great stuff.

Where does in rank in terms of Lene albums - good question. All three are great, and have their own feel.  I could more than happily listen to any of the three - though if pushed I have a soft spot for "Another Day" - possibly because of I also have the DVD which was literally fantastic.

How about a DVD release for LIAM as well !! Smile

I'm very late with my feedback but that's not because I didn't fall in love with the album, cause I did. It's an amazing record Lene! It has some of your best songs on it. My favourite tracks have to be How Would It Be, Leave My Mind and When You Where Around. But all songs are great! Some coments on some of the songs:

All I can Say: Buifly done! The instruments and the singing are to die for!

Hope Your Happy: Great version, atleast as good as the truley amazing live version. This song always gets to me.

What If: I love that she has done a song this popy. But it's the exellent lyrics wich does the song. Love the chourse!

Leave my Mind:10 points out of 10! This track really is brilliantly composed! Great singing on this one.

When You Where Around: Probarbly my favourite! I really love this song! the simple use instrument is just amazing. And The lyrics are so great! If Lene does a tour this song is a must, it would be magical live.

Eyes Closed: kinda reminded me of PMG in style, wich really was fun to hear! A great song!

The other songs are as good as these but I don't have anything specific to say about them besides that they are all amazing.

Well, it took a long time until I liked the complete album.

@fruitcake: You wrote, you were biased to PMG.
I had those experiences with AD.
I never compare with PMG. But I do with AD.
So, for a long time only Hope You're Happy
was the only song I liked.
This song had remained from the AD sessions.
It was released on DVD "AD".

The first song from LIAM I really love is Leave my Mind.
The lyrics, the melody, the arrangement - acoustic guitar and e-piano -
and the repeat of the sentences before the chorus "let myself down,
let myself down", "but I can't, but I can't" - give a kind of thrill to me.

The next ones were "Never to know" and "Wish I Could".

Yesterday after listening to TTT, I have tried with LIAM once again -
and suddenly I liked it. I liked the faster songs like What if, How would it be.

Well, her melodies have become simpler but on PMG and AD.
There are some distorted guitars in the background.
Some real rock n roll elements.
Blues elements like in It's True. She had begun to reach new shores.
New musical shores.

PMG is a classic, it's a unique record. She won't repeat it.
So it's better to view it as a record for itself. Standing for itself alone.
Those songs were written in a time before Lene entered the stages of business.

So I consider AD as the comparing basis for all following Lene's albums.
LIAM could pass the test; TTT can't.

Regards,

Martin.
